详细说明: FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION While the mintage was of decent size at just under a million pieces, the 1870 is incredibly RARE in GEM Red grades. This MS65 RD is among the FINEST graded, just a single MS66 RD is graded higher. This is a gorgeous, original RED example, housed in an old green tag holder. The wonderful mint red color, amplified by a bold, radiant brilliance, glimmers all over with some delicate peach and apricot hues toward the obverse peripheries. Totally original surfaces show just a few tiny, stray marks which is all we see keeping it back from an even higher grade. PCGS 18, NGC 9, CAC 3. In the last decade there have been four appearances of a PCGS/CAC MS65 RD, ranging from $4,080 to $11,163. The presently offered coin was NOT CAC approved in its last appearance, when it realized $4,700 six years ago. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,250 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $5,620. The single MS66 RD has never appeared in auction, and is not CAC approved.
