- 1866 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-66 Cameo (NGC). CAC. This wonderfully original Gem exhibits target-like toning in charcoal-blue, salmon pink, and bright gold iridescence that provides outstanding visual appeal. Bold cameo contrast between the fields and devices is readily apparent, as are smooth surfaces that readily uphold the validity of the Proof-66 numeric grade from NGC. Conditionally rare in a survivor of this 725-piece Proof issue, and of further significance to specialists given the elusiveness of the circulation strike 1866 dime in all grades, especially Mint State.
