1885 Pattern Cent. Judd-1740, Pollock-1950. Rarity-6+. Proof-65 (PCGS). Annular, or ring-form pattern with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the obverse border and the date 1885 below. The reverse exhibits the denomination ONE CENT above and a shield and two laurel sprigs below. Struck in silver with a plain edge.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One of our only offerings for this rare type in recent years, this richly toned Gem exhibits iridescent steel-gray patina to both sides. Modestly reflective in sheen, with a noteworthy lack of detracting blemishes.
