- Memorable Gem Proof Barber Quarter One needs to look no farther than the present coin to behold the artistry of Charles Barber, chief engraver of the U.S. Mint at his best. Sparkling mirror fields and a full cameo are complimented by exquisite smoky blue-gold toning. 2 coins may have been graded higher by NGC, but we find it difficult to imagine a much better looking coin than this one. PCGS 5, NGC 6, CAC 4. Only 2 higher (NGC graded 1 PF68 and 1 PF69). PCGS price guide value $4,750. Last sold at auction for $2,880 in April 2018. A superb coin for the connoisseur. Cert.
