- BOLIVIA. Oval Silver Progress Medal, ND (ca. 1850). PCGS MS-62. Fon-9435. Obverse: "REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA" Mountain with sun behind, llama and bundle of arrows in foreground, stars below; Reverse: Bird perched atop birdhouse, legend around "LA PATRIA A SUS HIJOS VIRTUOSOS". This VERYRAREbeautiful uncirculated medal was likely an educational award given out for academic achievement. Very little evidence of handling indicates that it was likely well loved and treasured by the original recipient.
