- FROM THE FORMULA 1 COLLECTION. EX SHIREMAN Tied for FINEST GRADED at PCGS, this SUPERB GEM has a bold, vibrant, frosty mint luster. Nicely struck on both sides the devices show essentially full definition on both sides. A dusting of the clearest golden pearl iridescent toning on both sides. There are a few minor ticks that are visible with the aid of a powerful glass, but the eye appeal is better than most seen. While the 15-S is one of the more available dates in Mint State, in such a lofty state of designation it is indeed RARE. This one is ranked as second finest on the PCGS CoinFacts Census, behind the Duckor coin, also graded MS67. PCGS 2, NGC 2. This coin realized $11,750 in the 2016 FUN auction, a sale that took place at a very weak point in the market. Prior to that, the Duckor coin sold for $13,800 in the 2010 ANA auction (Dr. Duckor paid $29,900 in May 2008). This is NOT the NGC coin sold in September 2010 for $14,950.
