- 1863 Equestrian / UNION FOR EVER Civil War token. Obverse Brockage. Musante GW-641, Baker-479, Fuld-177/177a. Rarity-9. Copper. MS-63 RB (PCGS). 19.8 mm. Pleasing olive brown with considerable orange red remaining in the recesses. The brockage side is toned a bit more deeply as the “field” on this side is raised, taking most of the handling, while the design is incuse and better protected. A rare error striking and very desirable. Provenance: Ex William Spohn Baker Collection, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania by bequest, November 15, 1897.
