A wonderfully preserved "+"-graded SUPERB GEM 1934 Walker. This date is considered the first of the later dates, or the first coin in an "extended" short set (how's that for a numismatic oxymoron?). An abundant quantity of brilliant mint luster and rich sandy-gold patina accent ultra clean, flawless surfaces and well struck devices. The intriguing toning creates a truly unique visual allure.
PCGS 206, NGC 121, CAC 68. PCGS has graded 22 in MS67+ and just a dozen are graded higher, all MS68. The most recent example sold in our April 2022 Regency Auction for $3,173 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,750. Just a single CAC MS68 ever sold in auction, realizing over $20,000 two years ago. This coin is worthy of careful consideration and placement in a wonderful set.
