There are multiple WOW factors happening here! First, this coin is the second FINEST 1904 graded by NGC in non-Cameo. Second, it is CAC-approved. Third, it is housed in an old NGC "fatty" holder. Finally, its technical and aesthetic qualities are off the charts! This richly toned SUPERB GEM is most likely from an an old collection that came out of the Philadelphia area in the early 1990s. Wonderfully original toning graces both sides. Deeper and richer on the reverse, where it clearly sat against a felt tray or similar storage. The obverse has a more dappled mix of amber, teal, and sunset orange that bursts out from the bold underlying reflection. Icy, flashy mirrors beam all over, giving this beautifully preserved SUPERB GEM an awesome look. The surfaces are flawless, totally devoid of any lines of any kind. Only 670 Proofs were struck. PCGS 2, NGC 6, CAC 2. This coin realized $9,400 in March 2016, at the low point of the market. With the market being stronger today, this coin should sell for more. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $14,000. NGC has graded a single PR69 finer, a coin that last sold for over $35,000! Bound for a SUPERB collection! Do not let this opportunity pass you by! Cert. Number 193306015 PCGS # 5690
