This is the FINEST 1881 RD Cameo graded (and is backed up by CAC). Pretty much ultra deep mirrors fire away from all over. The mirrors are crystal clear, are clean, and are intensely reflective. When you twirl the coin, you see what looks like a river of red mercury rolling around. Both sides are a GEM original Mint Red with highlights of gold. There are NO flecks or problems. The contrast is so bold the coin looks like it was carved out of a fresh block of copper. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are thickly frosted. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 4, NGC 2, CAC 1. There are no published prices relevant to this WILD GEM; the consignor paid $8,000 in a private transaction!
