A fabulous and colorful GEM! A satiny mint luster blooms all over, highlighting a lovely, eye appealing toning that graces the both the obverse and reverse with delicate blue, rose, gold, peach and lilac pastel toning. Well struck for the issue which often comes very weak and mushy, the presently offered example has crisply defined devices. This a very high end and eye appealing GEM example of this conditionally challenging date that is VERY RARE finer. PCGS 84, NGC 2. We suspect there is much duplication in the hopes of getting one into a 66 holder. The last non-CAC approved example sold for $3,408 in our August 2020 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,250. There are 18 in MS66 and NONE FINER. This is a great coin for the collector looking for a high grade and appealing GEM. Cert.
