1882 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-64 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Essentially untoned overall, we do note a blush of vivid cobalt blue and reddish-copper iridescence lining the left border on the obverse. Striking detail is expectably full for the method of manufacture, the bold field to device contrast readily upholding the validity of the desirable CAM designation from PCGS. The fifth date in the regular issue Proof Morgan dollar series, the 1882 was produced to the extent of at least 1,100 coins. This is one of the more generous totals for the type, the present example ideally suited for inclusion in a high quality specimen type set. Provenance: From the Monterrey Collection. PCGS# 87317.
