This near-GEM 60-S Seated half dollar is the SINGLE HIGHEST GRADED at either PCGS or NGC. This is an extremely IMPRESSIVE example of this very scarce date. Only 472,000 were struck for circulation and most disappeared into commercial channels; any Mint State graded coin is a rarity, this one is a POP TOP. A brilliant satiny luster has a soft glowing cartwheel bloom on both sides. Pearly silver with delicate golden tan that clings to the peripheral devices and around the keenly struck devices. The reverse fields are tinged with a very subtle pastel iridescence that pops when the light hits the satiny frosted surfaces. The design elements are very sharp and there are no surface disturbances worthy of mention to be found anywhere, even with the aid of a strong glass. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 7, NGC 6, CAC 1. This is the ONLY MS64+ graded by either service. The current Collectors Universe value is $25,000 and when it crosses the block, that level may be exceeded. Good luck. Cert.
