详细说明: Despite a fairly large mintage of over 19 million pieces, the striking definition is usually poor. This PQ GEM is a great exception, and these are very rare in this state of preservation, extremely rare any finer. This is a lightly toned example, showing delicate pastel iridescent hues dusted across the satiny lustrous surfaces. Sharply impressed, with bold, crisp details. The fields are satiny smooth and clean, free of distracting marks of any kind. The reverse is rotated about 30 degrees clockwise. A gorgeous looking coin, worthy of a strong bid. PCGS 23, NGC 9, CAC 5. There has not been a CAC-approved example sold since the 2015 ANA auction, realizing $7,931; you have to then go back to March 2012 to find another! Clearly these do not appear in auction with frequency and the published prices do not reflect this. Only 10 are graded finer, and a MS67 FB CAC sold in our March 2019 Regency Auction for a record $52,875. This impressive coin will see very strong bidding. Good luck. Cert.
