- 1888-S Liberty Seated Dime. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC. An icy ring of bright sapphire adorns the reverse of this lovely toned Premium Gem that also exhibits vivid purple and violet gray. With few marks in the fields and brilliant luster, this example has extraordinary eye appeal. Mint state coins from the branch mints are scarcer than Philadelphia pieces as a general rule, and this issue is no exception. Only 65 examples of the 1888-S are graded as Uncirculated by PCGS compared to 357 from Philadelphia. PCGS Population: 6; 2 finer (MS-67 finest). PCGS# 4701.
