The KING of San Francisco Mint issues and one of the scarcest dates in the Morgan dollar series. Always aggressively pursued by collectors for these reasons. This blazing white piece is graced with a whisper of champagne gold toning. The surfaces are devoid of bag marks or scratches and the design details exhibit honest wear throughout. Although lightly dipped at one time in our opinion, the coin still faces up very nicely. The strike is strong with sharp wing and neck feather definition. PCGS 459, NGC 194. Listed in the PCGS Price Guide for $6,850. Recent sales in July of this year have an example trading for $5,664 and another in January 2023 for $6,000.
