- This is the final mintage of two cent pieces for circulation, and the mintage was only 65,000. The surfaces are lustrous and brilliant with about 50% original RED color on the obverse and about 80% on the reverse. There is a soft mottled overtone that accounts for the rest on both sides. The devices are well struck and the surfaces are nice quality for the assigned grade. PCGS 20, NGC 5. There has not been a non-CAC PCGS-graded example sold in auction since August 2016--a much weaker market overall. That coin brought $2,820. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $4,500. This is a KEY issue that is normally seen in circulated grades, and full reds are VERY RARE indeed. Cert. Number 26630234 PCGS # 3613
