- Great Britain--Middlesex. 1796 Noted Advocates for the Rights of Men Halfpenny Token. D&H-838, W-9024. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-65 BN (NGC). A lovely golden-brown example with glints of original pinkish-orange color discernible as the obverse dips into a light. This is a sharply struck, smooth and satiny Gem that will please even the most discerning collector. The three figures hanging from a gallows on the obverse refer to revolutionary activists Thomas Pain, Thomas Spence and Thomas More.
