Lot 421 1794 C-9 R2. PCGS graded AU-50.Very attractive glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with frosty lighter reddish steel brown toning in protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are smooth and the only marks are a thin planchet fissure from the forelock through the base of the Y (as struck), a small nick or nick-like planchet chip over the A in HALF, a few faint diagonal hairlines at NT in CENT, and a barely visible rim bruise over ER in AMERICA. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with a rim cud involving 4-5 dentils left of the fraction. Our grade is EF40.Comes with an important provenance. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
