详细说明: 1852-O Liberty Eagle. Winter Variety Two. AU-58 (PCGS). Here's an issue that seldom appears in one of our auctions, and with good reason. The 1852-O was produced to the extent of just 18,000 pieces, and Doug Winter (2006) estimates that only 80-90 of those coins have survived in all grades. With most survivors grading VF or EF, this near-Mint survivor is rare from both absolute and condition standpoints. It is a sharply (for the issue) struck coin with minimal rub to surfaces that retain ample evidence of a noticeably prooflike finish. Scattered abrasions are commensurate with the grade, and none are worthy of individual attention. Easily among the nicest and most important '52-O Tens that this cataloger has seen in recent years.<br />     The 1852-O is similar in overall rarity to the 1855-O and 1856-O and is tied for the #5 ranking among 21 issues in the No Motto O-mint Eagle series. High-grade examples are similarly ranked as 6/21 and are rarer than such other Eagles as the 1846-O, 1850-O and 1855-O. This AU-58 is a very low-pop coin that is high in the Condition Census for the issue.
