A satiny, frosty near-GEM example of this conditionally very challenging date. The luster radiates throughout the fields, glowing around the typically bluntly struck devices. Icy nickel-steel and pewter-silver hues are seen on both sides. Die rust can be seen in places, as usually seen. The eye appeal is quite nice for a piece of this grade, free of distracting marks. PCGS 15, NGC 5. The most recent example sold for $4,200 in August 2020 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,500. Keep in mind that any PCGS MS65 will have a price tag around $10,000. A neat coin for the Buffalo nickel collector. Cert. Number 38562449 PCGS # 3956.00
