Among the finest known survivors of the date, this is a truly magnificent example of the type. A satiny sheen with some semi-reflective accents in the obverse field gives this monster quality 68+ FB a flawless look. A dusting of the palest, pearly iridescent toning amplified by the glowing luster that accents the sharply struck devices. The eye appeal is the definition of SUPERB. PCGS 25, NGC 12, CAC 6. There are three graded MS68+ FB total. We sold one in March 2019 for $10,869 and prior to that, one sold in June 2014 for $5,289. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,500. This coin, tied for FINEST graded will be at home in the #1 Registry Set and we suspect that the collectors vying for that top spot will all do battle with each other to bring home this special, pristine Mercury dime.
