Legend Rare Coin Auctions is pleased to have been consigned this wonderful 1875 GEM Proof Trade Dollars. We fully adore this coin in every way. Deep mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors have great flash, cleanliness, and have decent clarity. When you twirl the coin, the tremendous flash and rolling watery mirrors hit you full speed. Both sides have some light gold evenly spread around. The contrast is good. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is pretty cool (aren't all Trade Dollars neat to see?). Only 700 were minted. PCGS 15, NGC 6, CAC 3. NO PCGS CAC pieces have ever been sold via auction. The current Collectors Universe Value is $9,800.00. When is the last time you saw a great PR TD that was not darkly toned pre 1875? Good luck finding another once this beauty is sold! Be prepared for strong bidding here. Cert.
