详细说明: 1846-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter Variety 1 (7-F), the only known dies. AU-50 (PCGS). Even honey-olive color blankets both sides of this lightly worn, overall boldly defined AU. The strike is generally sharp, and softness of detail is minor and largely confined to the central-reverse highpoints. The surfaces are a tad subdued with somewhat of a glossy texture, but a lack of sizeable abrasions further enhances the coin's appearance.<br />     A low-mintage issue with a mere 4,808 pieces produced, the 1846-C is an elusive find at all levels of preservation. Similar in overall rarity to the 1842-C, this issue is the rarest C-mint Quarter Eagle in high grades (read: AU and Mint State) after only the 1841-C and 1842-C.
