With a mintage of 7,264 million (a sizable figure for the era), this date is surprisingly RARE in GEM and finer grades. Boldly lustrous and colorfully toned, this CAC-approved MS65 offers a very pleasing and original look. A few old ticks and giggles on the reverse are noted for accuracy, as is the typical blunt strike, but the eye appeal overall is wonderful. PCGS 14, NGC 11, CAC 7. The most recent PCGS MS65 CAC sold in November 2021 for $3,600 and that was the first one to sell since the 2012 FUN auction. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,000 and the CAC CPG value is $4,810. This coin presents an opportunity not to be missed.
