- SECOND FINEST GRADED. Only an MS66+ beats out this coin for top prize. Scarce in this choice state of preservation, but additionally desirable due to the intriguing die variety. Remnants of the top of an 8 can be seen in the denticles beneath the 7. Additionally the mintmark is double struck. Undulating luster caresses silky smooth surfaces enhanced by wisps of golden color. Above average strike with full neck and wing feathers present. A couple die lines and striations are noted for accuracy. PCGS 1; NGC O. No auction records for this grade at PCGS, just one NGC piece sold last year in February for $4,320. A prize for the variety specialist. Bid liberally, they don’t come much finer than this beauty!
