FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. JR-1. All 1823 dimes are overdates, this is the only variety with the small E's in the legend on the reverse. This lovely AU58 has a nearly complete luster with ample prooflike flash in the fields. Mostly untoned, this coin has a fantastic look and should sell for a strong bid. PCGS 10, NGC 1, CAC 5. The last one to sell in auction was in our May 2016 Regency Auction XVII, that realized $2,233. The current Price Guide value is $1,850.
