This is a lovely O-112 in a great collector grade. Nearly full, satiny mint luster glows vividly on the obverse, with a nice steely-silver in the centers and light blue-gray at the rims. The reverse is awash in a similar blue-gray tone with delicate golden-apricot tones. Sharply struck up on both sides, the dies were clashed and the reverse was cracked. There are some very minor contact marks that blend in and are of little import to the great eye appeal of this very nice AU58 early Capped Bust half dollar. PCGS 40, NGC 24, CAC 19. The last one sold for $5,520 in November 2020. Prior to that, examples have sold between $5,040 and $8,327. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $6,500 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $6,470. Rare in Mint State, this is a perfect coin for the collector, AU58 is the most popular grade for this always popular series. Cert. Number 38276000 PCGS # 6086
