Bust of Konarshi to left in clerical robes and pileolus, legends around and sculptor's signature below: Reverse: Laurel wreath atop two of Konarski's books. Legend "SAPERE AUSO" (wise venture) above and "STAN. AUG. REX." and the date below. Konarski, Polish-Lithuanian Priest, educational reformer, author and acknowledged precursor of the enlightenment in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, was a personal friend of Polish King Stanislaw August Poniatowski, who caused this medal to be struck in his honor.
