详细说明: Ex Benson Collection as noted on the insert. This is a beautiful, GEM with a great old time pedigree and is of Premium Quality! Rich peripheral toning frames both sides of this highly reflective Proof Seated Liberty quarter. Watery smooth fields have a bold depth of watery, mirrored reflection. Deep cobalt, violet, and olive green hues lighten to an iridescent golden and pearly silver at the centers. The eye appeal is excellent. When sold in 2002 by Ira and Larry Goldberg, this gem made its first public appearance and first time offered since February 1944 when the Benson Collector bought it from Ira S. Reed for $3. Only 832 Proofs were struck. PCGS 8, NGC 12, CAC 4. This coin most recently sold for $2,400 in March 2002.
