详细说明: THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART II An impressive GEM quality example of this popular "transitional pattern" which features the regular 1863 Proof die on the obverse and a With Motto reverse, adopted in 1866. These patterns were struck in complete sets for collectors. Struck in copper with a reeded edge, the J-343 is listed as Rarity-7-, with just 7-12 examples known. Ultra amazing mirrored fields are booming. They are ultra flashy and superb. Red copper surfaces are mellowing with ample violet and blue overtones. The obverse is a FULL CAMEO with bold contrast between the razor sharp, frosted devices and the mirrored fields. The surface quality is impeccable and the eye appeal is amazing. The only one finer is the Bob Simpson piece. PCGS 2, NGC 0. This coin brought $6,463 in January 2016 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000.
