THE R.S. COLLECTION Everything about this 17-D Obverse is exceptional quality. This GEM is housed in an early generation NGC "fatty" holder. Highly lustrous there is a lovely peripheral toning on both sides, the reddish-orange shades seen on the obverse really do come out when rotated in the light. Sharply struck up, there are a few tiny ticks seen in the fields, but the eye appeal is incredibly nice! A fabulous GEM example of this early date Walker that is making its debut in the numismatic market for the first time in decades! PCGS 81, NGC 52. The last NGC MS65 example realized $6,600 in January 2021 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $11,000. The eye appeal is excellent on this GEM and we are not sure why CAC did not "approve" this one. Regardless, this old holdered GEM will delight even the most jaded collector. Cert.
