- Very scarce New Orleans mint issue. Only 34,000 coins struck of this issue. Though often ignored as compared to Dahlonega Mint issues, the rarity of the date cannot be understated. The date can be found with moderate ease in circulated grades, but uncirculated examples are rare. The present example fits decidedly into the UNC category featuring soft, flowing luster, and excellent eye appeal.
