What a beautifully toned GEM Proof two-cent piece. Incredible RED mirrors beam on both sides, dusted by a gentle iridescent blend of orange, gold, rose, and hints of olive patina. The devices are sharply struck and stand out against the icy smooth mirrored fields. The eye appeal is certainly worthy of NGC's "*" designation. PCGS 22, NGC 14, CAC 21. The only NGC/CAC coin to ever sell in an auction was in the 2010 ANA auction, which realized $4,025; more recently PCGS/CAC coins have sold in auction in the $3,400 to $3,600 range and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,650. Only 1 PR66+ RB is graded at NGC finer, which sold for $4,700. Worthy of inclusion in a great collection of type or two cent pieces! Cert. Number 3727586005 PCGS # 3631
