Tied for HIGHEST numerically graded at PCGS, this is a beautifully toned, high end example of this KEY date Mercury dime. NOTE: a slightly better struck example in FB would be a mid-five figure coin; this coin seems like a great value in comparison. Classic album toning forms a delectable halo of dappled, multicolored patina around the peripheries on both sides. Deeper violet mixes with a rich amber gold and splashes of earthy olive-tan hues. Generally well struck up from clashed dies, the central band is partially split, with about 50% separation. The luster is bold and satiny, tying the entire package together, bringing life to the colorful toning and accents the details. The eye appeal is amazing. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 2. This does not appear to be the MS67 that sold in the 2012 ANA auction. In MS67 the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,250 and unpriced in MS67+. The Larry Miller coin, an NGC MS66 CAC sold for $12,000 in November 2020! None are finer, and this beautiful coin could bring a record price! Cert. Number 40803058.00 PCGS # 4936.00
