No question this is a totally original HIGH-END piece! To the naked eye the surfaces look clean and pretty smooth. However, using a strong glass, you can see a few light and minor abrasions scattered about. Nothing is serious or stands out. A nice glowing luster can be seen all over. Both sides are an even gold with a light circle of pale greenish gold by the rims. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and have delicate frost. The eye appeal is nice! PCGS 171, NGC 86, CAC 29. PCGS has graded only 10 in MS63. PCGS also has graded a total of 4 coins higher-of which only one is CAC. Think this date is tough in choice or better? In August 2018 one sold way too cheap for $1,050. We believe an PCGS CAC MS64 would sell for at least $5,500 if one ever came for sale.
