- 18 graded PR-65 CAM, 39 higher at PCGS. The Philadelphia mint almost effortlessly produced attractive cameo proof coins during the 1890s, and this so-designated Gem doesn't fail to satisfy, given the conspicuous contrast between the thick blanket of frost on the devices next to the mirrored fields. Modest dip residue may need to be conserved at some point in order to restore fully brilliance, as the surface now displays the telltale dulling often seen long after a silver coin has been dipped. Nevertheless, every interested bidder will be unable to resist the extremely precise strike that has brought up every conceivable detail within the design.
