- Tied with just one other coin for FINEST graded at PCGS and this is a truly magnificent SUPERB GEM! Brilliant, satiny luster glows warmly on the surfaces of this nearly flawless beauty. The surfaces are devoid of anything--even using a strong glass the surfaces are pristine, the embodiment of perfection. Both obverse and reverse are gently toned in pastel orange and olive hues with golden russet, and slate-blue accents that burst with the wonderful underlying luster. The devices are razor sharp in strike. The eye appeal is incredible. PCGS 8, NGC 1, CAC 4. There are two in MS67+ at PCGS and none finer. (It is interesting, PCGS CoinFacts shows three distinct MS67+ examples plated). The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $12,500 and this coin last sold nearly two years ago for $11,700.
