- Mintage: 51,107. 25 graded AU-53, 91 higher at PCGS. 1880-CC is occasionally seen with flashy fields, but even seven points of wear are not sufficient to repress the fact that this was a lustrous coin upon emission. Considerable cartwheel activity remains in effect on the reverse, the obverse a bit muted by trivial hairlines. Possibly a doubled-die reverse, or else that side has been widely strike-doubled.
