FROM THE MHS COLLECTION A very CHOICE and frosty B-2, clearly within the two main Bust quarter Condition Census listings. A generally well executed blow from the dies imparted most details crisply on to the planchet, only some slight softness is seen, mostly on Liberty's cap and the corresponding portion of the eagle's talon. Mostly a warm silver with antique gray and the clearest gold iridescent toning is brought out nicely by the thick mint frost. The eye appeal is quite pleasing for sure! PCGS 27, NGC 27, CAC 5. We sold the most recent example for $6,169 in our February 2021 Regency Auction. In today's stronger market, the CAC CPG value is listed at $7,310 and the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $9,000. While PCGS reports 25 graded higher, these are NOT common; the last one sold nearly three years ago for over $20,000. This very pleasing MS64 will fit nicely in any carefully selected collection and will see stiff bidding competition. Good luck. Cert. Number 11285433 PCGS # 5356
