详细说明: DESIRABLE KEY DATE. The fields on this coin are remarkably devoid of contact marks or abrasions and are soft chocolate brown in color. The design elements are well struck. There is some wear on the middle and lower diamond. Under powerful magnification, a thin scratch is noted on Liberty's neck. Popular rumor of the day was that Longacre's daughter, Sarah, was the model for the coin design as she was spotted one day at her father's office playing with an Indian war bonnet. However, Longacre refuted this claim and said that the source of his inspiration was a classical rendition of Venus. Additionally, there are numerous renditions of an Indian Head princess in Longacre's artwork dating 10 years prior to his daughter playing with the bonnet. PCGS 124, NGC 97. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $4,100. July 2023, a piece sold for $3,360 and prior to that one sold in December 2022 for $3,181.
