1852-C Liberty Half Eagle. MS-63 (PCGS). Frosty olive gold with lively luster and some prooflike reflectivity. Sharply struck from lightly rusted dies, the only weakness at the eagle's neck feathers, as virtually always seen for the date. <em>Condition Census </em>for the date; the present specimen is easily among the top examples of the date extant today. The present coin is among the five finest examples grading <em>events </em>listed at the PCGS on-line <em>Population Report, </em>a fact worth remembering when you plan your bidding strategy.
