1760 Hibernia-Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-3, Zelinka 7-E, W-13930. URS-11. VOOE POPULI. VF-35 (PCGS). This appealing, problem free example exhibits nice tight surfaces that are free of porosity, pitting and even significant flan flaws. Smooth sandy brown patina to most areas, a splash of crimson-brown color is confined to the lower left obverse border. Sharply defined for the grade, and worthy of a solid bid. This popular variety of Roche's Voce Populi halfpenny exhibits a die crack at the front of the second C in VOCE that gives the word the appearance of being misspelled as VOOE.
