An incredible Proof Barber quarter. Everything about this GEM is SUPERB and the quality is off the charts! Virtually pristine, there are no imperfections of any kind, anywhere, no matter how long you look at it with a strong glass. Infinitely deep, beaming mirrors are exceptionally clean, sleek, and bold. Both sides are bathed in a wonderful, totally original melange of blues, golds, oranges, lilac, pink, rose, and pale greens; the tones are deep, but they do not obscure the exquisite brilliance of the mirrors. The devices are fully struck and they have a thick, frosty texture, giving the obverse a nearly Cameo like contrast. The eye appeal is stupendous! PCGS 7, NGC 18, CAC 4. Only 735 Proofs were struck. No PCGS PR68 CAC has ever sold in auction and the last CAC-approved NGC coin sold about a decade ago!
