When Legend built the Bruce Morelan Set of Mint State Trade Dollars, after exhaustingly searching through just about EVERY MS64 and 65, an 1877 in GEM was the last coin we found to finally finish the set (of course a few years later the real MS66 popped up). We assure you, this particular coin is seriously above average for the date and grade! We make no promises, but this coin needs to be resubmitted for a +. Amazing surfaces are just that; they are not only semi-satiny smooth, they actually are slightly semi-prooflike. You do not have to imagine the mirrors or the luster on this piece. Using a strong glass, you will be blown away how mark free-make that microscopic mark free this piece is. Both sides are evenly covered by a superb mix of pale to moderate original colors of golden brown/green/champagne/blue colors. Miss Liberty and every detail is not only frosted but they are fully struck. The eye appeal is unreal! PCGS 11, NGC 11, CAC 9. The last PCGS CAC MS65 to sell brought a mere $8,813 in January 2017. We believe that collector "in the know" will bid this coin up possibly as much as double that price. We are the unquestioned world experts in Mint State Trade Dollars.
