- Great Britain--Middlesex. Undated (1790s) Am I Not a Man and a Brother Political Token. D&H-235. Gilt. Plain Edge. MS-62 PL (NGC). 33 mm. While we have been offering increasing numbers of British political tokens with this basic obverse type in our sales -- due to their association by subject with the popular HT-81 Hard Times tokens -- this is the first gilt specimen that we can recall handling. It is a bright medium gold example with a prooflike finish and sharply executed strike. Intriguing, and undoubtedly rare in this fabric. Click here for certification details from NGC.
