GREAT BRITAIN. Bronzed English Army on the Tagus Medal, 1811. PCGS SP-64 Secure Holder. Eimer-1016; BHM-713; Bramsen-1138. Medal commemorating the English army on the Tagus. By L. M. Petit and E. J. Dubois. Obverse: Duke of Wellington as a Roman general, seated. Reverse: River god reclining in front of English army tents. Struck in 1820, as part of Mudie's series on British victories. Skillfully engraved and struck in high relief with stunning gleam throughout the dark chocolate brown fields on both sides. Better preserved than most. Estimate: $150 - $300. PCGS SP-64 Secure Holder.
