- (t) CHINA. Kirin. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1898). Kirin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS AU-55. L&M-517; K-297; KM-Y-182.1; WS-0374. Type 2 "pao". Variety with hooked "kuang" and "sheng," and with rosettes on the dragon side. A pleasing and lightly circulated specimen, the present example delivers a sharp strike and much remaining original mint brilliance. A few marks of friction and hits are noted, though these do not significantly alter the beauty of the piece. A lovely and impressive specimen certain to attract much attention.
