- 1850-O Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. OC-1, the only known dies. Rarity-2. AU-53 (PCGS). A pretty piece with iridescent peripheral toning in mottled reddish-russet, steel-blue and sea-green. Similar colors outline the central design elements, which are boldly to sharply rendered in the absence of all but light high point wear. Only 40,000 examples were minted, the lowest production figure for any Liberty Seated dollar issue coined at the New Orleans Mint. While about 1,000 examples are thought to survive, the issue is scarce any finer than Very Fine.
