FROM THE PROSPECT COLLECTION. A marvelous GEM Indian Head eagle. This is a conditionally RARE date any finer, making the MS65 grade perfect for most collectors. This coin is VERY HIGH-END for the grade with totally original, medium orange-gold color that is highlighted by a thick satiny mint frost. The devices are fully rendered by a precise blow from the dies, fully bringing out the full delineation to all the feathers. The surfaces are devoid of all but the most insignificant marks, visible with a strong glass only, and otherwise they are the epitome of satiny smooth! The eye appeal is fantastic, and this coin is housed in an early blue label PCGS holder. PCGS 43, NGC 44, CAC 15. The last PCGS CAC coin to sell was in October 2015, realizing $10,869; the one before that sold for $17,625 in the 2014 FUN sale. Like most coins, there is a clear line in APRs for CAC and non-CAC coins. Keep in mind that a CAC MS66 will cost close to $30,000! This is a great coin for any Indian Head eagle Registry Set. Be prepared for spirited bidding when this GEM crosses the block! Cert. Number 6562311 PCGS # 8875
